In Urban areas access to the internet is much more faster compared to rural areas, it has been proven that ‘The gap between average download speeds in urban and rural areas has nonetheless widened from 9.5Mbps in May 2011 to 16.5Mbps in May 2013. This is due to the lower availability of superfast broadband services in rural areas compared to urban areas’.
The literacy rates in MEDCs are high because a majority of children have access to a free education and access to advanced facilities such as computers and laptops. However#
in comparison to the education provided in LEDC countries the rates are low because people cannot afford to send their children to school and some areas may not even have schools due to a lack of educated teachers. Thus this means that the people in MEDC countries will receive a better job than those in LEDC countries this is because these people are educated and in foresight their standing of living will be better than those in LEDC’S.
